A two-seater table with conjoined chairs, each facing opposite directions, playfully questions the object’s intended function. How would a couple interact when sitting at this table? Set within the Villa’s former study, Rosati’s design anchors the space as one for intimate conversations, whether imaginary or real. Tubular iron and Balsatina di Bagnoregio Stone, lava rock from Central Italy, echo the Villa’s analogous material palette.
